Vie ferrate Garda lake mountains
Lake Garda
Spring and autumn are the ideal time of the year to climb vie ferrate over the Garda lake. There is the right via ferrata for everybody: difficult and exposed in lofty heights, short and appealing with lots of hand- and footholds. The mild Mediterranean climate along with the excellent Italian cuisine contribute to make this week become an unforgettable experience.
Program:
Sun: Welcome and presentation of program
Mon: Via ferrata al Colodri
The easy via ferrata is an ideal introductory route with magnificent views over the Garda lake. Time required 2 hrs. In the afternoon we can climb the short via ferrata Rio Sallagoni – Castel Drena which runs through an exciting gorge .Time required about 2hrs.
Tue: Cima Capi – Via Ferrata „F. Susatti“
Easy and interesting via ferrata over ancient WW1 front tracks and shelters with amazing views of the Garda lake. Time required 5-6 hours.
Wed: Via ferrata Gerardo Sega
Away from frequently climbed routes, takes us this via ferrata through an enormous rock apse with a dramatic rock scenery. Time required 5 hrs.
Thu: Cima Sat – via dell‘ amicizia
An adventurous via ferrata over the roofs of Riva with lake views. The highlight of the tour are two 45m and 70m long ladders. Time required 6 hrs.
Fri: Monte Casale – Ferrata Che Guevara
A very long, intermediate via ferrata across the 1.200 m high eastern face of Monte Casale. More than 1.000 m of steel rope allow the ascent across steep, smooth ledges. Once on the summit, a splendid panorama awaits us: from the wonderful Brenta turrets, the Bondone range as far as the Garda lake. Time required 6 hrs.
Sat: farewell and departure
