Southwestern Ötztal Alps Tour
Mazia Valley
The starting point of this traverse through the southwestern part of the Ötztal Alps is the calm and very quiet Mazia Valley in the Upper Val Venosta Valley. One interesting fact: The place Mazia was the first mountain climber village in South Tyrol.
During this week we will guide you through impressive, and huge glaciers to the well-known summits like the Similaun, Weißkugel, and of course to the found location of Ötzi.
Scheduled program:
Sun: Arrival Mazia Valley – Hotel Glieshof at 1807 m height, climb to the Oberettes hut at 2670 m
Mon: Southern Schwemser summit 3269 m height – Bildstöckl pass 3117 m – Hotel Grawand 3200 m
Tue: Finail summit 3514 m – Found location of Ötzi – Similaun hut 3019 m
Wed: Similaun summit 3597 m and Marzell summit 3528 m – Martin Busch hut 2501 m
Thu: Saykogel 3360 m – Schöne Aussicht hut 2842 m
Fri: Weißkugel 3739 m – Oberettes hut 2670 m
Sat: Descent to the Glieshof and homeward journey
Services included: 6 times lodging with half-board treatment, 5 guided tours, rental equipment
